In this week’s Art Speaks Studio Moment I compare the approaches and results of two recent demonstrators at the Southwestern Watercolor Society membership meetings. The two artists are Ted Nuttall and Alicia Farris and both are known for painting portraits in watercolor. Watching the demos, I was surprised to see how similar their approaches are, but also the ways that they diverge that result in very different looking paintings. In this week’s video called “A Tale of Two Artists,” I talk about their processes and how their paintings are similar and different. Each of them has a unique, recognizable style.
