The beauty of serving over time, gives me great joy of seeing my prior students as parents themselves now. She was so welcoming and made our experience absolutely exceptional.
She also gives students ownership over the horses like they belong to you and that ownership feeling makes all the difference in learning and growing and caring for these amazing animals.
We visited Ojai with my two boys 10&8yr olds and they were both a bit hesitant to ride horses at first yet after the session was done they were both in love with Melissas' Boys (her horses) It truly was Melissa's calmness, patience and care for her own Boys that made this session so magical and had them both overcome their fear and truly appreciate the experience of riding the horses.
My Daughter finds comfort in melissa's company and loves learning everything about the horses, she is now confident in riding and looks forward to work every lesson.
My daughter just loves coming here and during this social distancing time it is great to still get outside and enjoy her classes.
Our weekly private classes with Melissa and the horses are not only my five year old daughters favorite time of the week, it is mine as well.
The establishment takes you away from town and puts you straight in the country!
We took a 2 hour ride, I would have opted for the 3 hour but it was very hot and the trails were still in recovery mode from the fires they had around there.
She is so welcoming & thoughtful the whole time.
