What a wonderful place with a staff of instructors who truly care about their students, their families, and their growth toward bettering themselves. The energy is really contagious with parents, grandparents, and friends having just as much fun as students. The owners, the Thompson family, live and work to provide a place for exceptional people who want to teach others to be their best selves. A big family is a good way to describe the feeling here and I'm exceptionally happy my son is a student here. To see the pride in himself and his accomplishments has truly given him a sense of responsibility, self confidence, and self discipline. I HIGHLY recommend no matter what age, if you are interested in multiple disciplines or physical fitness, come and just watch for a couple classes....

Never seen so many kids having so much fun and learning at the same time.
The staff is AMAZING with all ages of kids keeping the classes fun but yet structured and disciplined.

We recently moved back to the upstate from Houston Texas, and our son was at a Gracie Barra, BJJ school there and we could not be happier with Upstate Karate!!!
Team is friendly at the same time assertative and make sure kids learn the important things of Karate and life too.
We like this place very much, it felt too many kids in the beginning but they have many senseis therefore everyone gets attention.
