Born and raised in Brazil, Rafael first became interested in jiu jitsu at 9 years old to learn the art of self defense and to protect his family. At 19, he left his hometown for São Paulo to practice jiu jitsu full time. While in São Paulo, Rafael received his brown belt from multiple time world champion Leandro Lo.

They make the kids classes fun but also at the same time the kids learn a lot of techniques.
