Our roots Originally a brick & mortar studio in West Orange, New Jersey, The Yoga Ground was mission-built. We are aware of the shadow side of the “health & wellness” industry. The side where rising prices have made life-enhancing practices only available to those with money. The side where “health” has become a chase for the “yoga body,” rather than an appreciation for the body that you already have. The pandemic may have closed our studio, but our mission remains. After all, all ground is yoga ground. At The Yoga Ground we ask, “What is enough? ” At what point can we just be happy with who we are and what we have, rather than always searching for more? We take “come as you are” seriously here. Everybody is invited. Including you.

Sentiment Analysis
This yoga studio is really clean, has a variety of classes at different times of the day, which is good for people with different work/life schedules.
I was the only male-presenting person in this class, but having read about TYG's mission, to help aspiring yoga practitioners put aside societal expectations of who they should be and how they should look, I didn't feel insecure about it.
Taking classes here was definitely my favorite part of living in NJ - I cannot recommend TYG enough!
It would be most respectful however, if other yogis did not have their cellphones turned on in class: a common practice (and a consideration to others) that should be encouraged by teachers.
The studio is clean, well maintained and Kristen was patient, thoughtful and thorough.
The owner is down to earth and super dedicated to making the studio inclusive and feel like home.
Amazing teachers, affordable pricing, inclusive classes, beautiful community and by far the cleanest studio I have every practiced at.
I'd give this stuido more stars but if I did, too many people will start showing up to my classes!!!
I’m still a newbie however it feels so amazing to be apart of a yoga community.
It’s become my second home!
