Richard Steele has refereed over 170 world title bouts and he is arguably the world's most famous and finest boxing referee. Richard Steele has refereed some of the greatest bouts in history. He's been the leader in the ring with Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar de la Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Mike Tyson. He was inducted in the World Boxing Hall of Fame in 2000. Steele was inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2014 alongside Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Tito Trinidad. In 2017, Steele was inducted into the U.S. All-Marine Corps Boxing Hall of Fame
