South Jersey Ballet Theater
South Jersey Ballet School students have a range of performing opportunities. South Jersey Ballet School is the resident school of the South Jersey Ballet Theatre, the area's premier performing company. South Jersey Ballet Theatre produces two full-length ballets a year, including "The Nutcracker" and a full-length spring performance. SJBS students also take part in student open house performances, as well as lecture demonstrations in the community. Naturally, all students perform in the Annual Recital, where they demonstrate what they learned throughout year. Ample performance opportunities allow students to grow as dancers and develop skills to carry them through their dance career and beyond.

The environment was nurturing and positive, disciplined for those wanting to strive for a professional career, and so rewarding on so many levels including personal growth and growth as a dancer.
My daughter graduated 7 years later became a member of Houston Ballet II and became a professional dancer with Cincinnati Ballet.
Andrea also was incredibly caring to my daughter when she fractured her foot (not at dance) just a few weeks prior to a production and was no longer able to perform.

In addition to learning correct ballet technique, I have learned so many other important lessons such as how to collaborate with others to produce creative results and the importance of hard work and dedication.
The training at SJBS is on par with big name professional schools all over the country--I am saying this as someone who spent many years training at those professional schools.
Having such a close bond with all of my peers and being in a creative environment has helped me grow as both a dancer and as a person.
Andrea Duffin has been such a powerful and inspirational person for me to look up to, her passion is contagious and her love for this art form is truly admirable.
