Scenic City Clay Arts
(34 Reviews)

Scenic City Clay Arts is my happy place. I like the strong sense of community in the studio and the way people help one another out. There are very experienced potters as well as beginning potters, and everyone is given encouragement in their work.

I am excited to continue taking classes and hopefully get a membership one day 🤞 The waitlist must be long for a reason!
My husband and I just completed a “Get Your Hands Dirty” beginner class, and it was fantastic.
My 13yo had a great time at one of the summer camps this year!
It was a little hard to get the hang of, but Summer was so helpful and kind.
Really excited I was able to make 4 pieces during the 2 hour class.
Summer was an excellent teacher, very clear in her communication and demonstration and always kind and encouraging.
She was so patient and always asked before she helped with the piece that was on the wheel.
I took a "get your hands dirty" class as a date night in 2021 and loved it.
From what I can tell, the studio offers plenty of class varieties from beginners to more experienced levels for clay.
I’ve continued to take classes with SCCA, and am now selling my work at art markets and mixing my own glazes, and even used the skills I learned in the kiln maintenance class to fix up the used kiln my husband and I purchased earlier this year.
