Miniatures is a collection of 80 piano pieces that I composed for novice pianists. Althoughprimarily pedagogical, my goal is that each piece features a whimsical character or mood, encapsulated by it's title, that students canconnect with and enjoy. I use these pieces almost exclusively with my beginner students andhave found my students excited to learn the next one each time. It is my hope thatother teachers' students can enjoy these pieces too. The book is arranged more or less in order of difficulty, but it has several indexes to help find a piece suitable for what a student might need to focus on.
