Mike Paine, owner and instructor of Salt Lake City Guitar Lessons, has been playing guitar and performing for over 30 years and has played lead guitar on tour for Country Stars, Collin Raye, Jamie O'Neal and international recording artist, Alex Boyé as well as a few American Idol finalists. Mike also has a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Guitar Performance From the University of Utah and has been teaching guitar for over 15 years. In addition, he has recorded in Nashville with several “A-list” musicians and has also studied classical voice for several years. Mike Paine has been teaching guitar to two of my children for years - one 18 year old, one 7 years old - and their continuing enjoyment of guitar/music is a testament to his ability to teach & inspire musicians of all ages & abilities.
I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn guitar or improve their skills.
I love that Mike also teaches them technique which as a mom is important to me so they learn the details of guitar playing.
That is important to me, because sometimes the most skilled musicians are not the most effective guitar teachers.
