Joining the PMA family was the best decision we ever made. My daughter has been doing Karate for 2 years. After falling in love with it, she decided to try jiujitsu and has been doing that for almost a year. Sensei Rick is amazing. Not only is he incredibly skilled and qualified to teach, he is absolutely wonderful with the kids, especially the young ones. There has been a complete change in my daughter since she found the haven that is PMA. She's more respectful of others, and her self confidence has shot through the roof. These were the main reasons we wanted to take her to martial arts, but now she is really getting into the technique and wants to excel as a martial artist. It's amazing watching her grow, as a person and an athlete, and I have Sensei Rick and PMA to thank.

The culture, like most gyms, takes its lead from the head instructor, so students treat each other with respect and good humor, and offer helpful feedback when asked but always to encourage students with less experience get better, and never to show off what they can do themselves.

Of all the sports and extra curriculars that my son has been involved with, the kids Jui Jitsu class taught by Sensei Rick is by far my Son's favorite.
