Point Lookout Yoga was conceived during a trip to India while its founder, Laura Shockley, a Point Lookout resident, meditated on the banks of the Ganges in the Holy City of Varanasi. Thousands of miles away, Laura envisioned a place where people could come together to practice Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness. She saw a safe, supportive place created by love where a community, in its truest sense, could come together and where Yoga could be practiced joyously. Point Lookout was the perfect location, as this small barrier beach town, with its salty air and the sound of waves meeting the shore, has provided so many people with a sense of peace, comfort and joy.

I went and felt so much better after I felt less anxious more able feel the energy in body and be able to have a moment of stillness and feel still from my day to day, learned great calming breathing techniques, I really loved Laura and all the instructors were so welcoming and knowledgeable as well and the people talking the class were very friendly someone even passed on their old yoga to me, the stretches and yoga helped me a lot with my back pain from the car accident, it was very calming and healing honestly helped me out a lot in my life outside of the studio, my own energy feels more positive and calm
