
I started my personal meditation journey with Peace in Piermont (PIP) about five weeks ago after meditating for a couple of minutes at family yoga on Saturday mornings for several weeks. My goal was/is to become more mindful of the moment so I can enjoy/appreciate life as it is happening and learn how to be less reactive/angry about situations/feelings I experience. I meet weekly with Katie Stoeckeler in a private meditation/breathing/yoga session. Her demeanor, insight, experience, passion and ability to relate to my struggles is priceless. So much fun and in line with our values (nothing commercial, owner Katie spoke with the children about meditation and gratitude.
We were so pleased with the information and tips that Katie provided, especially the supportive advice she shared about how parents can incorporate healthy selfcare habits into their children’s daily activities, too.
