Nokado School of Self Defense
(12 Reviews)

Our philosophy is to walk away from a fight whenever possible. If forced into a confrontation, a student has the option of defending themselves one of three ways; the hard style of block, punch and kick, the middle style of intercepting the attack and placing the opponent in a wristlock or submission hold, or the soft style of avoiding the confrontation either verbally or physically.

The atmosphere is amazing and you become part of a family.
My daughter LOVES going to class, has made friends, but more importantly has gained self confidence to start standing up for herself and has even deployed self defense moves on the bus (a wrist lock to thwart a person trying to pinch her).
She has learned the confidence I was hoping for (she has always been extremely shy), respect (the most important thing in the world, according to sensei, and I agree!
Soke O is simply the best!!
Nokado will teach your child respect, discipline and will help them to reach life goals.
They will learn respect, how to protect themselves, public speaking, and discipline.
Give it a try and you will quickly become a part of the Nokado family for life!
It doesn’t end once you leave the dojo, but becomes a way of life.
Great people, great lesson, and great way of teaching.
I found Nokado School of Self Defense when it became important to my wife and I to provide our children with the confidence to defend themselves in this often unpredictable world.
