Kort is a professional drummer who has been studying and playing for 14 years. After graduating high school where he obtained a surplus of marching percussion experience, he moved on to get his degree in percussion performance with a focus on drumset at Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, Kort studied with some of the best drummers in the world: Neil Smith, James Murphy, Kenwood Dennard, and Casey Scheuerell. Kort also took an interest in music therapy and some teaching courses: “the psychology of music”, “philosophy of education”, and “music therapy”, just to name a few.
