Sensei Mario Sperry (6th degree Jiu Jitsu black belt) is involved with martial arts for over 45 years. He received his black belt in Jiu Jitsu from the legendary Carlson Gracie and as part of Carlson's competition team hewon several tournaments and championshipsboth in local and international competitions. He is regarded as one of the main titleholders of this historic team, which included many famous athletes like Ricardo Liborio, Murilo Bustamante, Victor Belfort, Amauri Bitetti and others.

There are always good vibes in that academy, I love it, I have improved a lot with them and Mario Sperry himself is in charge
He taught a cohesive approach to the position we were covering (back control) which really leveled up my game in that position.
I've taken a few clases at Mario's and I got nothing but great things to say, from the moment I walked in, I was treated with respect, they do not care if you have 0 to none skills, him and Thiago welcomed me like a family member, everyone is respectful and super knowledgeable about Jiu Jitsu.
Jumping ahead to April 2023, after 11 months, I managed to secure the gold in my second tournament, all thanks to the invaluable guidance of the renowned Master Mario Sperry and the wonderful community of fellow training partners.

High-quality instruction (mostly from Mario himself), respectful and supportive gym culture, and the cleanest mats and changing rooms you’ll find anywhere.
Great martial arts studio.
The instructors are very knowledgeable.
The students were very technical and two of the upper belts were very open with sharing with me some positional things I could adjust in my game.
