We've had such a wonderful experience with Machida Karate Academy and its Senseis. I needed to write a review for other mom's who have more sensitive kids and are trying to find a great place for them. My son was interested in learning karate but had a really negative experience at another dojo- really overwhelmed, didn't know what to do, felt thrown into it without much attention. Some kids might do well with this and adapt and jump in, but my son isn't that type. I wanted him to continue to give karate a chance but knew I needed to find a situation to set him up for success. Best Karate class in LA area ever
They make it fun for the kids, but still work on fundamentals.
The videos are very detailed and include a wealth of knowledge, just like you would get from attending in person.
You don’t have to go just for the belt, the color is not what determines you- it’s how you improve yourself, stay fit and learn skills to defend yourself and feel good about yourself, regardless of what belt you are.
They do a good job teaching the Art of Self Defense.
