Jonathan Barker Guitar Lessons

In there mere 2 months I have spent with him, he significantly expanded my repertoire in improvisation and encouraged active exploration and expression through playing music.

The new knowledge I've gained (plus vastly improved fundamentals) have really inspired me to go out and see what I can produce as a guitarist, in addition to enabling me to learn and play my favorite music in a live setting.

He also periodically takes you out of your favorite genre and exposes you to new styles of music (if you're up to it).

Jonathan did a great job offering interesting and informative lessons that helped me extend my playing while also guiding me through some of the basic musical ideas I should have picked up years ago.

I’ve played for many years, but I think I have improved well beyond what I could have hoped for in just a year of study with Jonathan, and have never had more enjoyment along the way.

I’ve been taking lessons from Jonathan for about two months now, I’m a newbie guitar player.

The music theory is intertwined in with the basic guitar playing skills and knowledge, so that I am able to absorb it without being overwhelmed with scholarly learning.

There are times when I am discouraged by my slow progress but he reminds me that each person learns at their own pace and it is important to keep working at it.

I was just not improving, had no motivation and thought I should try lessons but I was also a bit apprehensive about it.

I emailed him a question this week and within an hour, he sent me a video explanation!
