Hapkido Tae Kwon Do & Karate Institute

Traditional classes begin with a 10-minute warmup that includes stretching, calisthenics, strengthening exercises and a variety of hand and kicking techniques. From there, we dive into specific self-defense techniques based on the student's level and the content of that particular class, workshop or seminar. Techniques are comprised of a wide variety of blocks, strikes, and kicks based on taekwondo and also various escapes, joint locks, and throws based on hapkido. The blending of both a “hard style” martial art (taekwondo), and a “soft-style” martial art (hapkido), gives our students a perfect blend of techniques that can be applied as needed to a given situation.
