The Dance Factory is celebrating 35 years in business! It began in the fall of 1989 as the South Bay Sunray Stars. After 20 years of residency in Lomita, we moved to Rancho Palos Verdes, our home for the last 13 years. In September 2020, The Dance Factory moved in with San Pedro Ballet School. We are excited to be a part of this new era, where 2 dance schools are in 1 location, creating an opportunity for everyone!

My daughter has been taking hip hop and ballet classes at San Pedro Ballet School for the past year or so, and she absolutely loves it!
Not only does the owner and staff do an amazing job teaching young students the art of dance, they help teach them life lessons, hard work, discipline, respect for themselves as well as others, that dancing is hard work, but fun, help create a safe, comfortable family environment, and encourage the students to believe in themselves, trust each other and the staff, and always do their best.
They are focused on teaching children the principles of dance technique as well as giving them an outlet to express their feelings.
The Dance Factory School of Performing Arts is one of the best dance studios in town.
My daughter has been enrolled in dance classes at The Dance Factory School of Perfoming Arts for over 3 years and is also a member of their Elite Competition Team.
...competed in group routines, solos, duets and trios in all genres (jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater) and has taken many technique and contemporary classes too
My daughter has been a student there for 15 years and is now teaching dance herself.
We moved away for a couple of years in-between and she attended another studio - there was no comparison in the professionalism, creative dances, show productions, etc.
