6 years ago I was a very shy and quiet person. I disliked meeting new people or being in any kind of spotlight. My parents put me in TaeKwonDo hoping I would become a more outgoing person. Apart from my extreme shyness, I also had ADD. Often times I would find myself completely lost and embarrassed within a class. Thankfully there were some amazing people who approached me and helped/encouraged me to stay on course. TaeKwonDo has changed my life. Through ATA life lessons and leadership skills, I was taught how to overcome most of my shyness and control my attention. Now I am able to lead classes with a clear direction on what needs to be done. I now help people who struggle through the same problems I was going through. Owners, instructors, and all the people training there become your family, not only bc of the technics and discipline of the martial arts but bc of the huge heart in everyone.
I was nervous about enrolling my three year old because I was nervous he was way too young.
I highly recommend Cox Martial Arts if you or your kids want to either learn martial arts or just need some discipline, this is the place to go.

Exceptional training in Jiu-jitsu as well as TKD, and a fantastic atmosphere make it a five-star experience!

We actully enrolled our son at this academy back in 2018 at 3 years old in the Tigers program, shortly after he was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma and went through extensive treatments for about 3 1/2 years, when we had to pull our son out to be treated not only did the amazing owners work with us on it they also came to visit us at the hospital too!
Our daughter loves coming to Cox ATA, and their new location is so awesome with lots of space :)
