My daughter and I loved this class.
I found the City Lights Music Together class on Instagram and I am so happy we signed up for it.
Through the Music Together classes, our twins learned to imitate beats on their bodies, imitate the actions of their teacher with instruments, and began to try and repeat the “my turn, your turn” la la las from their teacher.
Despite my background, music classes offer a level of engagement, structure, predictability, fun, and creativity that just can’t be replicated at home.
Not only do our kids look forward to music every week, their growth from the class has been such an integral part of their learning- music, memory, counting, rhythm, social interaction, sharing, exploring new instruments, play, following directions, eye hand coordination and speech development.
I love having the app with all of the collections on hand to play whenever we need a toddler distraction 😁 …
Now I get to bring my one year old to classes and it’s been amazing watching someone so tiny learn rhythm and sing along to different notes.
They are always willing to give you a free demo class to try it out.
The classes offer beautiful, worldly music that my kids clearly enjoy (dancing, singing), different modalities to express themselves (instruments, dancing, partner dancing, scarfs, parachutes, and more), and a very safe place for class.
Not only all this but I truly look forward to class each week because the song curriculum is a bit different each week and completely new each session so it's always refreshing and never stagnates and I get to socialize with other parents too.
