Ballet Wolcott

To enable children of all ages to develop strength, creativity and self-discipline through joyful, professional, respectfuldance instruction. To share the joy of dance with the community through classes and performance. Ballet Wolcott, was formed 40 years ago as The Wolcott Children's Ballet by June Gorton, a dancer and choreographer who worked many years with George Balanchine. It has had many names and joined forces with River Arts for a period. It has been under the leadership of many, including Helene Nilsen, Kennet Oberly, Avi Waring and Brandy Perez. One constant in the ballet's life has been its dedication to serving the community.
