Austin Kickboxing Academy

I did Muay Thai for a few years and last year decided that I should start practicing again. I LOVED my past coaches so was super hesitant to try a new place. After reading tons and tons of reviews, I checked this gym out because it seemed the most similar to what I was looking for - a gritty gym, not boutiquey or fluffy, focused on the technique and practice rather than getting a good workout. All I can really say is that is exactly what you get, plus an insane workout every time. The coaches are awesome and super helpful. You're broken up into groups based on your experience with a dedicated coach who will tweak little things you're doing wrong so you learn proper technique. Everyone, even the most experienced students, is super nice and helpful, and will offer advice to help you...

Austin Kickboxing Academy is a very professional martial arts academy ( not a country club or cardio kickboxing).
They really pay attention to your progress, and want to see you grow!
We chose the youth program over other ones out there for our daughter.
Hands down the best training experience that can be found in Texas!
Every coach is respectful and knowledgeable about the sport and it’s a great environment to learn Muay Thai.
Coaches take pride in teaching and you can tell the entire team is having a great time regardless of how hard the training can be.
Walked in not knowing anything about kickboxing, but immediately felt welcome.
I’ve also met so many individuals from different backgrounds that I’ve been able to connect with outside of the gym.

Some Muay Thai gyms are known for having an aggressive/intense sparring culture, but this gym keeps it technical and playful, with the option to go a little harder if you like.
