Accomplished Artist Studio

Update (March 2024): The genius of Susie's academy classes is that she isn't cranking out a bunch of artists who draw or paint exactly like she does - quite the opposite, in fact.

He is learning new concepts every week and his art projects are the beneficiary.

I used to not be able to draw a circle but now I just finished painting the best hamburger in a cake dish I have ever seen.

If you’re at all interested, start a class—the teachers will work with you at whatever level you are at!

We wanted to put her in a “real” art class with actual instruction but most art classes offered for kids her age were really just crafting and coloring and lacked real instruction.

As you can see here - I’m still learning how to use the paint values to allow depth / shaping / building different tones and layering texture.

Susie is a very kind and encouraging instructor, her students are friendly and supportive, and the studio is a relaxing place where you are able to learn at your own pace- definitely a quality art school!

We really appreciate the art techniques that are taught as well, so they not only enjoy the activity but develop a skill.

The only thing I would request is that you have make up sessions.
