It's unlikely that you'll find a tutor like Larkin who is as kind and dedicated to teaching. I had the most difficulty understanding meanings and unstated assumptions of arguments. Larkin used real-world applications of logical analysis in teasing out meanings and implications so that I could understand the material. I thought I wasn't capable of raising my score, but Larkin believed that I could. I worked with him for a couple of months and raised my score by nineteen points.

The margin of error on the modern LSAT is extremely small, so you need someone who will push you to the exact right limit so that you can achieve your highest score.
He worked with me to rethink the way I was approaching the questions and I was able to improve my score a lot.
He was also really attentive to and inquisitive about my thought patterns, which was so helpful in figuring out and busting through my mental hurdles.
I really appreciated that Larkin tailored his approach to me as an individual--he made every effort to determine why I specifically was missing certain problems and figure out exactly where I went wrong, rather than just offer a cookie-cutter explanation or tell me how he would have done it.
He helped me master LR - previously I felt like I would be guessing sometimes, but he gave me a reasoning framework to definitively understand why an answer was wrong and why another was right.
What really separates Larkin is how he approaches teaching - most tutors would focus on specifics of a question or studying question types; Larkin focused on how I as an individual was taking the test.
He did not impose a standardized curriculum for me -- instead, he asked questions about how I had been studying to date and analyzed results from practice tests to help shape a custom curriculum.
Although he has told me to attribute my score increase to my own efforts, it would be naive to think he didn’t play a prominent role in my achievement.
While I only have my experience to reference, I feel like his style of teaching would work both for people looking to make a large jump in scores, as well as those who are already testing well and looking to get those few extra points.
What I found to be the most effective and unique about Larkin was that he was very committed to teaching the skills needed to succeed on the test, rather than having me memorize a ton of rules that don’t even work 100% of the time.
