FAQs

What do I wear for my first lesson?

For your first class just make sure that you wear something comfortable that does not restrict your movement. Dress in comfortable clothes and wear shoes that stay on your feet. Students wear anything from jeans and T-shirts, to work attire.

Who will teach me?

All of the instructors at the Arthur Murray Studio will contribute to your learning. We work as a team to ensure you get the most out of your lessons. Your teachers will be selected to best suit your particular needs and style of learning.

What will I learn?

If you have a specific dance or style you would like to learn, then we will focus on that. Otherwise we will teach you a variety of the popular social dances such as swing, salsa, foxtrot & more.

How often should I come in for my lessons?

If possible, keep your lessons as close together in the beginning of your program. Most students come in at least once a week, however we also have students who are in the studio every day, the choice is yours.

How long will it take?

You will be able to dance withing 10 minutes of your very first lesson. The length of your course is up to you, we can plan it specifically for you based on how proficient you wish to become at the dancing skills.
