Classes use creative dramatics, music and movement, familiar story themes, games, arts and crafts, and lots of IMAGINATION to explore the fun of theatre. The KIDSTAGE class curriculums are designed to use theatre arts to encourage collaboration, teamwork and communication, respect for self and others, healthy and constructive behavior choices, as well as build self-esteem and confidence.

Select summer camps based on the grade your student will be entering in the fall. For example, if your student is entering the first grade this fall, select summer camps for first graders.

As space is limited in many of our facilities, parents/guardians are encouraged to leave their student with us after drop-off and enjoy time to themselves, exploring town or grabbing coffee. KIDSTAGE does not allow parents/guardians in the classroom, as their presence may be a distraction to students. Upon arrangement with KIDSTAGE staff, parents may be able to unobtrusively observe their students from outside the classroom and listen in to the activities. Please contact KIDSTAGE staff directly to facilitate. Families will be invited to see a demonstration of what their students have accomplished in class on the final day.

On the final day of class or camp, family and friends are invited to observe a small in-class demonstration that allow them the opportunity to see what students have been working on all session. Demonstrations usually include: theatre games used during the session to teach specific theatre concepts, student explanations of terms and skills learned, and a presentation of some form of a story (improvised, guided or scripted). More details, including a final sharing schedule, will be sent to families as we approach the end of the session.

When inclement weather occurs, KIDSTAGE will alert families via email regarding impacts to class schedules. We try to give at least four hours of notice for schedule changes. In the event of a class cancellation, KIDSTAGE will offer an online class, or a make-up class, if either are possible. Classes which take place at a school will be cancelled when the school is cancelled. All communication will come via email.
