How often should I do Pilates?
There's really no such thing as enough, but it is recommended that clients who are eager to see results, practice 2-3 times per week. " In ten sessions you feel the difference. In twenty sessions you see the difference. In thirty you'll have a new body " -Joseph Pilates
What if I have an injury or limitation?
If your physician clears you for exercise or recommends Pilates then we can find a way! All sessions can be tailored to your specific needs. This is more easily accomplished with private sessions but with our small class sizes, even group sessions can accommodate most needs.
Do Men do Pilates?
Of course! Part of what is making Pilates so popular is that it is a challenge to EVERY body. The strongest of the strong, including a variety of renowned professional athletes, regularly include Pilates into their routine. No matter your gender, age or level of fitness, Pilates will challenge you and bring out the best, fittest version of you.
Pregnant Pilates?
Of course it is always best to consult your physician first, but they'll probably agree! Pilates is a tremendous, low-impact way to improve the overall health of you and your baby throughout, and after your pregnancy. During this special time, we recommend private instruction to maximize the benefits to your changing body.
How can I get the most out of Pilates?
Especially in the beginning, be consistent! Take a number of classes in succession and be prepared to move slowly at first. Listen closely to your body and really concentrate. Let Pilates become your reward, your zen, your "me time." To get the most out of Pilates ALL of you must be present!
