What would you do with someone trying to kick you? What would you want your child to do?😮 ........ One day, at scouts, one of our Black Belts was faced with this. Another scout started trying to kick him....over and over again! Most of us would say fight back, and we'd be right! EXCEPT in this situation! I am so proud of William because he recognized the young man attempting to kick him, didn't have much to hurt him with. He saw that his skills could hurt the young man. So he responded with compassion and kindness and SKILL! He blocked every attempt. He kept his ego out of the moment. He thought his way through it all! I am so proud of William for recognizing that his skill set was much higher than someone else's and chose to NOT take advantage of that. He chose compassion and grace!
