In order to get to reach a certain level of fluency and performance she presents me with different tools and methods to be able to practice and master a piece.
We have experienced 3 teachers (group and private) and every teacher was very caring and loving and really helped my child get comfortable and enjoy music by creating a love for the art.
Since my child started at the New School a little over 6 months ago, I have seen significant growth in her musicianship.
Besides one-on-one teaching, it also provides students group lessons and lots of opportunities to perform in front of audiences.
After a detailed search, I had almost given up hope of securing lessons for her for that year, when I heard about The New School for Music Study from family in New Jersey and thankfully enough, they were prepared to move to virtual classes and were ready to accommodate an out of State student.
The Adult Piano Study program at The New School for Music Study is excellent!
Before my son started at NSMS he was not sure he was interested but after the first visit to the school he could not wait to start.
Whether it was my weekly private lesson, or Wednesday night PEPS class, I will always cherish these memories as well as everything I learned from my time at the New School.
The adult group performance class 6 times a year offers an opportunity to experience and improve performance skills.
My son LOVES his lessons and will not let us miss one for any reason.
