Finally nailed my Crow pose in practice today with Newsha!
Nice place and lovely people .
As a queer South Asian person, it's important to me to practice yoga in a studio also run by a queer South Asian person, where shared values of anti-racism and decolonization are embodied by all of their teachers!
Wow, I'm crying at the fact that there's a queer South Asian owned yoga studio.
I was looking for somewhere that treats yoga as more than just another exercise class, and I'm so glad I found the BYMC.
The way Yoga is taught at the BYMC is both deeply respectful and incredibly playful and fun (which I think is the perfect mix!
They really challenged me in trying to center myself both physically and emotionally.
The instructors are knowledgeable and provide ample support during classes.
Also don't discount the effect of practicing in a space stewarded by queer SE Asian ownership.
A truly welcoming place, tenderly & gracefully working for authentic embodied collective liberation!
