He wasn’t sure if he was ready to join when he walked in but very quickly recognized that Stand Alone had everything he was hoping for: a sense of community; excellent BJJ instructors; a place that welcomes beginners along with the opportunity to advance to your goals; opportunities for other martial arts and boxing classes; and close to Chico campus.

I couldn't imagine a more welcoming group of people to train with.

I go here easily the best gym i've gone to like ever

I learned some cool techniques and got good feedback on things I needed to pay attention to.

Hey, I come from the bay, I used to go to a muay thai gym, I went there for like a year and 2 months then I came here.

Another reason I think this gym is so cool is I think the coaches and fellow students do a really good job of taking care of new students, and by this I mean they work at your level and build you up from there so you have a good solid foundation in things, and then when you are ready to learn different skills or train at higher levels they are right there for you.

What age do you need to be to come here and do the activities here.

I have taken both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu here and the coaches understand what level you are at and are willing to help you advance.
