Ryu Renshi Dan teaches me how to stand up for myself and gives me a back-up plan if someone tries to use force against me. The classes are not too big or too small and you can always get individual attention if you need help with your kata or something. Sensei is not mean, like, “DROP AND GIVE ME 100 PUSH-UPS NOW! ” but he enforces discipline which is good. I like being sempai so I can help younger kids and set an example for them. Plus, dojo nights are awesome, especially board-breaking and dodge-ball and flags!
