I've performed in bands ranging from Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, Metal and Top 40. I have a strong passion for all music, especially Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz and Acoustic guitar.

Awesome teacher, I can't recommend him enough
Derek did a tremendous job of meeting me where I was, and was very patient and encouraging.
His skills are off the charts, i would really recommend him to anyone looking into playing guitar, an amazing teacher and inspiring individual!!
Derek not only has a command of the instrument and theories around it, but a gift for teaching that is not common, And a love and passion for guitar.
He doesn't use music lesson books but instead teaches you techniques through familiar songs and useful exercises that are engaging and fun to practice.
