Grappling includes all martial arts that take place without striking. In grappling, punches and kicks are not allowed. These disciplines include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which involves all chokes and joint locks (arm bars, triangles, kimuras, etc) Submission Wrestling, a combination of takedowns and ground control. And wrestling, where no submissions are allowed and you score points by taking your opponent down and holding them down. Kids wrestling is offered as a high school sport and we follow the folk style ruleset in our youth wrestling classes.
