I would get a piano again, download an app like Flow Key Pianote, maybe buy an Alfred or Faber method book and slowly work my way on my own through the book whilst trying to play songs through rote memorization - thinking it’s about brute force to learn when to press what keys.

In just a few months our son has developed a better understanding and love of music and enjoys playing his favorite songs with friends and family.
