After extensive tenant renovations, Palm Canyon Theatre opened its doors in September 1997 with Romberg and Hammerstein's operetta “The Desert Song. ” One of the leading roles was played by none other than Bill and Sylvia's daughter, Se Layne, who was at the time, a working actress in New York City. It wasn't long before Se moved to the desert with her family to cultivate the family's passion in a place they all had grown to love. Se has two children, Wyatt and Ava; they are now the third generation to live and love theatre life at PCT.

Sentiment Analysis
Film fest theatre.
Amazing Talent, and friendly staff.
The actors, including the seven children in the play, did a very nice job, though, and the 4-person orchestra played very well.
It was my first time seeing Sweeny Todd, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
If I lived in Palm Springs I would buy seasons tickets.
Unfortunately, theater light and especially sound systems are OLD, TIRED, and in need of major upgrades.
Great space for live theater.
A small but lovely theater for the Palm Springs Film Festival and classic film viewing.
Cute, intimate theater.
I felt as though I was being transformed to the formidable years of theatre.
