As well as digital recording, arranging, songwriting, music business, and music theory. And general musical coaching in a number of other areas that include Improvisation and soloing, basic accompaniment for aspiring singer-songwriters, effective practicing techniques, custom chart transcriptions (sheet music and tab), and making learning music fun at all stages! As an adult leaner (on Mandolin) I have greatly enjoyed lessons with Lonnie and it’s helped, and continues to help, my playing in all facets.
He has this knack of being able to really be with each student, no matter their skill or interest, and inspire them to want to play.
After seeing Lonnie play bluegrass around Portland, I contacted him to inquire about guitar lessons for my son.
We're working on how to make solos for bluegrass and country songs and now I've stepped up to doing bluegrass open jams and to working out solos for my neighborhood jam/cover band.
