As an adult leaner (on Mandolin) I have greatly enjoyed lessons with Lonnie and it’s helped, and continues to help, my playing in all facets.
He has this knack of being able to really be with each student, no matter their skill or interest, and inspire them to want to play.
After seeing Lonnie play bluegrass around Portland, I contacted him to inquire about guitar lessons for my son.
We're working on how to make solos for bluegrass and country songs and now I've stepped up to doing bluegrass open jams and to working out solos for my neighborhood jam/cover band.
Teaching your concepts to another is a tough thing and I am experiencing that Lonnie is up to that task.
