Joyoga is a place to learn the versatility of yoga with safety. All students will be encouraged to fill out a medical form so an evaluation can be done. After the evaluation, a short one-on-one, by phone or in person, will be scheduled to go over which classes to take and cautions due to injuries, surgeries or diagnoses. Modifications to postures in yoga need to be addressed with people who have certain diagnoses, such as glaucoma, osteoporosis/osteopenia, diabetes and high/low blood pressure. It will be the student's responsibility to follow these recommendations and each student will be required to sign a waiver before beginning classes. I look forward to meeting you!

I look forward to each session of the two class types ( Balance and Ease), and (Yoga for Healthy Aging) I have signed up for because I feel she can help me recover facets of myself I have lost over time and add elements that will make my later years more healthy and mentally aware.
She pushes you to be your best self, which can lead to huffing and puffing and working up a good sweat at times, all the while reinforcing that you should never push yourself to the point where you feel pain of any kind.
Her studio is clean, professional and completely equipped with props necessary for a varied range of movements making us all stronger and more confident in daily activities.
The breathing work, stretches and other movements always leave me in a great place to meet the rest of my day and the studio itself is lovely and peaceful.
I'm brand new to yoga and have loved learning from Joy - she is great!!!
I would definitely recommend anyone interested in either starting or continuing yoga to give Joyoga a try!!
In addition, Joy provides all the equipment needed, from blankets, matts, and any props that might be necessary for the class.
Along with this, Joy really cares about helping me and alw Ays figures out exactly what my body needs.
Even though there are several other folks in a class, she gives attention to each individual making you feel you are in a one-on-one session with her.
The studio is beautiful and Joy incorporates a wonderfully long shavasana at the end of her practice.
