Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Mukilteo Team Sauer
At our school, safety is the number one priority. In far too many BJJ schools, the classes are structured to meet the needs of the most elite students. If you are a beginner student, you are expected to serve as a “grappling dummy” for those above you. The thought process is, if you avoid injury, and stick around long enough, you will eventually figure it out. At our school we take the opposite approach. Firstly, there is no competitive sparring in our beginner programs. As a result, you will have a chance to learn all the beginner techniques in a fully-cooperative environment, with like-minded training partners. Once you move on to the advanced program, and you begin sparring, you will have the benefit of working with training partners, of every skill level, who are working with you...

Friendly instructors for my 5 year old.
I had came to this gym a couple years ago looking for answers within myself and not only was I able to push myself to find those answers in the mat and off the mat but I was able to make great friends along the journey.
There is a sense of community here where we as students grow, help each other learn, friendly as we all progress under the guidance of the instructors.
The atmosphere is welcoming to all ages and skill levels and there are no jerks with massive egos.
In the end - after nearly 20 years in Seattle - we made the decision to leave WA state in favor of a more conservative area.
If your looking for a school that teaches realistic self defense in a safe environment, this is place !
I remember being a little intimidated when I walked in on my first day, but all the instructors immediately made me feel very welcome and comfortable.
He truly cares about students' progress and about creating a safe and encouraging environment.
Great place to train BJJ.
They learn very well in his environment and he's very fair and generous with pricing.
