Eizan Ryu Jujitsu
Founded in New York City in the 1960s, Eizan Ryu Jujitsu was developed to adapt traditional Japanese jujitsu techniques to modern urban self-defense situations. The style continues to evolve, combining tradition and innovation, with an emphasis on self-defense and self-development rather than competition. We offer rigorous, serious training in a welcoming and supportive environment, and our classes build confidence and discipline, with each student progressing at their own pace.

Sentiment Analysis
Training here is amazing because of the passion of the instructors for martial arts (they are not only senseis in the Eizan Ryu dojo but also students in other dojos so they keep learning) and their passion for the students.
Even after 10 years as a civilian and trying other Karate, BJJ, and Aikido dojos, the training I got at Eizan-Ryu still sticks with me as the base opon which I build.
I have tried many styles of martial arts and this is the one I find the best suited for me and for practical techniques.
I joined with zero experience in martial arts, but my time so far has been very rewarding thanks to the knowledgeable instructors.
Over the past 13 years, I've been to a number of aikido and judo dojos, and have come back to Eizan Ryu as my primary training, as they provide a good understanding of aikido and judo techniques, with a realistic dose of striking.
Great place to train, serious martial artists
