I have also seen Sensei Bob Otto and his staff help older adults ease into Karate and the exercises and take their time with them to make sure that they're doing the katas and movements correctly, but also make adjustments if a certain movement is not working for the individual (such as causing pain or discomfort due to not being flexible enough yet - or previous injury).
I only observed class and was really impressed with the genuine care for the young students.
In addition to martial arts, they teach kindness patience and discipline.
