Amkor Karate Institutes

My child feels confident and valued in the diverse community, and she learns something new and exciting in every class!

After she returned home, she often practiced for us and her punches and kicks became much stronger.

This Bryn Mawr dojang is one of the locations of Amkor Karate Institutes, a network of karate schools that share the same Tang Soo Do “syllabus” and hold each other accountable to the highest standards (during belt tests, students gather together and are tested by instructors from other dojangs).

I find it rare to find an outlet and activity for children that is truly inclusive and truly diverse, but Amkor Karate Bryn Maw is exactly that.

Finding someone like Master Kremin to help instill this type of discipline into a 7 year old while making it fun and intriguing for her has been a great journey and experience.

This is serious training where the focus is on learning and doesn't lean too heavily into ranks and belts - the advent of which I believe are a positive motivation to students but can be detrimental to the spirit and philosophy of training martial arts when over emphasized.

From the moment they stepped foot into the dojo, they were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, creating an environment that fostered personal growth, self-discipline, and a true sense of community.

Amkor Bryn Mawr is a wonderful karate studio and Master Kremin is an amazing teacher.

All three of my children ages 13-5 attend classes here and have grown immensely both physically and mentally.

I can say they taught me how to defend myself, give me confidence in myself and my body, and lastly make friends and have a great time everyday I walked in the studio.
