Associate Master Rick Jeffcoat began training in American Kenpo Karate at Senior Grant Master Ed Parker's studio in West Los Angeles. In 1995, he opened his first school in Pasadena, California, just a few miles from Ed Parker's original Pasadena studio. To this day, he continues to build on Ed Parker's legacy by safeguarding the traditional Kenpo principles of practicality, eclecticism, and evolution. He has been featured as a notable kenpoist in the published book, Kenpo Continuum and in 2013, Mr. Jeffcoat was inducted into the National Kenpo Hall of Fame, an elite group of 300 of the most accomplished kenpoists nationally.

Definitely a Kenpo Karate destination studio if visiting California.
Online Zoom classes are a great way for me to practice techniques in a safe and socially distanced manner.
Rick is fantastic and this is the best Karate studio in Pasadena!
I have had the privilege of joining the team here for practice a few times a month, and I have to say that the depth of exploration, sharing and teaching that goes on here is exceptional.
The instructors are WONDERFUL with kids, balancing gently pushing them out of their comfort zones while also supporting them and bolstering their self confidence.
The instructors are skilled, the environment is safe, and I feel like I've found a family among my fellow practitioners.
